$1,000 Missing from Viking Lodge

Police were called Dec. 6 to the Harald Viking Lodge, 6730 175th St., Tinley Park, for a report of a missing cash drawer. One of the lodge's officers said that sometime between Nov. 28 around 10:30 a.m. and Nov. 30 around 10:30 a.m., someone stole a cash drawer from the safe that contained $1,000.

The officer had balanced the drawer and placed it in the safe on the 28th and when he returned on the 30th, it was missing but two other cash drawers were still there. He said only a janitor and officers were in the lodge during the time frame—a fact he verified with a printout of those who used the card key to get in the building. Police were in the midst of interviewing those folks last week.
