Baby Clothes Stolen

Toni M. Tranchita, 40, of the 16700 block of Paxton Avenue in , was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in the 7800 block of 167th Street and charged with retail theft. Police said that just before 4 p.m., they got a call from a loss prevention offer at Super Target, 7300 W. 191st St., who said a woman just fled the store after stealing baby clothes. She was shown on video surveillance placing clothes in both her purse and the waistband of her pants, according to the report. The items totaled $62.54. She then ran from the store when loss prevention officers called for her, and a man —later identified as Jermiah D. O'Brien— driving a Toyota sport utility vehicle picked her up, cops said. Police located her about an hour later. Her bail was set at $1,500. O'Brien was charged with driving on a revoked license.

Pot Possession

Eamon J. O'Donnell, 34, of the 18100 block of Rita Road in Tinley Park, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of 183rd Street and Millennium Drive. Police said they pulled over O'Donnell and later discovered he was driving on a suspended licenses. "During a pre-tow inventory of the vehicle, I located a multi-colored glass cannabis pipe with residue in the glove box," the report said. "I further located a (bag) containing less than 2 grams of cannabis …" He was charged with driving without wearing a seat belt, driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
