Police Blotter: Car Parts Stolen Off Metra Commuter; Car Burgled During Wedding

MONDAY, MAY 23
Metra Lot Crimes
Someone stole the catalytic converter off a 2002 Saturn parked at the 80th Avenue Metra station lot between 7:15 a.m. and 6:35 p.m., May 23, police said. Also, someone smashed the glass surrounding a state-owned pay box at the station lot between 10 a.m. May 22 and 9:30 a.m. May 23, police said.
Cigarettes Sold to Minor
Tinley Park Liquors, 7026 183rd Street, Tinley Park, was charged with an ordinance violation. Police accuse the store of selling a pack of Newport cigarettes to a minor working undercover for police at 7:15 p.m. May 23.

SUNDAY, MAY 22
Car Window Smashed During Reception
Someone smashed the car window and stole the purse of a Munster, Ind., woman between 7 and 10:30 p.m. May 22, while the woman attended a wedding reception at the Odyssey Country Club, 19110 Ridgeland Ave., police said. Two valets attending the lot told police they were listening to the Bulls game on a car radio and didn't see anything suspicious.
