Police Blotter: Fraud, Hole Cut in Roof

Tinley Park police reports, July 11.

Fraud

A 39-year-old Tinley Park man filed a report with police around 8:30 p.m., saying that he received a bill from PayPal for a $1,554.52 made on Ebay. He said he does not have a PayPal account, nor does he buy items from Ebay. The purchases included one for $799.99, one of $753.53 and a $1 donation. They were made between June 27 and July 1, according to the report.

Hole Cut in Roof

An employee of Tinley Park Bowl, 7601 W. 183rd St., said that around 9 a.m., a ceiling tile fell onto one of the bowling lanes. The man went on the roof and found 10-inch by 12-inch hole "that appeared to have been cut with a Sawzall," according to the report.
