Graffiti at Union Creek
Police said that sometime around 12:15 a.m., someone spray-painted the word "seek" in "stylized graffiti" on a concession stand at Union Creek Community Park, 19900 S. 80th St. in . Red and blue paint was found on the south, west and east side of the building. Surveillance footage showed a person wearing a red hooded sweatshirt arriving there with two cans of spray paint. The sweatshirt had a number 5 on the back and words or letters above it, according to the report. All footage was given to the police as well as staff at Lincolnway North High School, in case they can identify the perpetrator.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 4
Harlem DUI
Ronald S. Turn, 26, of the 9300 block of Bayberry Lane in Tinley Park, was charged with DUI, expired driver’s license, expired registration and speeding. Police said they stopped Turn’s car in the 12400 block of Harlem Avenue at 3:24 a.m. for driving 51 in 35 mph zone. He submitted to a breathalyzer exam and failed, police said.
