Parking Lot Burglar

Police said they arrested Anthony G. Lira, 25, of the 10400 block of H Avenue in Chicago, around 7:30 p.m. after an incident at Super Target, 7300 W. 191st St. in Tinley Park. The store's loss prevention officers said they spotted Lira on surveillance video peering into cars in the parking lot. They said he was wearing all black clothing and a black stocking cap. He entered a 2007 Honda Odyssey, rummaged through its compartments and stole a blue cell phone, the report said. He then went to a nearby Kohl's store, where police located and arrested him. "He stated that when he saw the police cars pull up in front of Kohl's, he went back inside, walked through the ladies clothing area and put the blue cell phone that he took from the van inside a pair of women's pants," the report said. Lira was charged with felony burglary.
