Police Blotter: Man Calls Cops to Say Woman Bit Him; $900 in Gaming Equipment Stolen

Things Get Wild at Buffalo Wild Wings

Cops were called to Buffalo Wild Wings, 7301 W. 183rd St. in , around 12:45 a.m. because of a reported brawl among high school students. A manager at the business said students from Rich South and Rich Central high schools got into an argument that became physical. "(The manager) told me that approximately 20 subjects were fighting and they dispersed prior to my arrival," the officer wrote in the report.

Burglary to Unlocked Garage

said that between 9 a.m. Sept. 21 and 10 a.m. Sept. 24, someone stole a generator and a compressor from a detached garage in the 6700 block of West 165th Street in Tinley Park. The generator was valued at $500 and the compressor $300, according to the report. The doors to the garage weren't locked at the time of the theft, police said.

Criminal Trespassing, Resisting Arrest

Michael H. Morlan, 29, of the 3600 block of North Hermitage Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 9:10 p.m. at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, 19100 S. Ridgeland Ave., Tinley Park. He was charged with criminal trespassing to real property and resisting a peace officer. His bail was set at $1,500.

Burglary to Vehicle

A woman reported that sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., someone shattered the front, passenger-side window of her 2002 Toyota Camry and stole $280 cash and various credit cards. A Coach wallet valued at $180 was also taken, according to the report. The woman told police she suspected that the father of her child might have taken the money, because he knew it was in the center console of her car and had been asking her for cash for several days. Her purse was left undisturbed, the report said. Police said it looked like someone tried to punch the door locks.

$900 in Gaming Equipment Stolen

A family living in the 6500 block of West Glenview Drive in Tinley Park came home to find $900 in video games and game consoles missing from the home’s unattached garage. The mother called police around 2 p.m., which is about the time her family returned home from a local football game. She said that when they left at around 11 a.m., the garage door was shut, but unlocked. Taken were two Xbox game consoles, two remote controls and about eight Xbox games. The homeowners said tools and a television set were undisturbed.

Man Calls Cops to Say Woman Bit Him

A man called police to the 17200 block of 71st Court in Tinley Park to report that his female friend bit him. The man said the woman became belligerent and was stumbling around his apartment, knocking things over. When he grabbed her by the arms and tried to sit her down so she wouldn't hurt herself, she sunk her teeth into his upper arm and shoulder, he told police. Police said they saw the bite marks, but the woman didn't break through the skin. The man originally called police so they would remove the woman from the premises, but later decided to let her stay, the report said. He did not file a complaint against her.

Wallet Stolen at Andrew High School

A staff member at Andrew High School, 9001 W. 171st St., called police to report that between 8 a.m. Sept. 23 and 4:15 p.m. Sept. 23, someone stole his leather, bi-fold wallet. He last saw the wallet in his unlocked desk, according to the report. It contained his driver's license, two credit cards, a debit card, two gift cards, his insurance card and $15 cash. Police tracked the purchases made using the cards and found that the suspect spent $153 at Express Tobacco, where the owner said he sees him every day. The owner is holding a copy of the surveillance footage for police. Charges also were made at an area gas station and a McDonald's restaurant. The case remained under investigation Monday.

Air Conditioners Snagged from Duvan Drive

The owner of a company in the 7300 block of West Duvan Drive called police to report that between noon Sept. 19 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23, someone stole two air conditioning condenser units valued at $8,000 each. The units were in the back of the vacant building on the ground level, according to the report. The business owner signed complaints.
