Domestic Battery

Charles P. Riley, 29, of the 7200 block of 168th Place in Tinley Park, was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Police said Riley burst into his bathroom on March 27 around 2 a.m. while a woman was on the toilet, in an attempt to have sex with her. When she refused, Riley grabbed the woman by the neck and then grabbed her cell phone as she tried to call 911, police said.

The woman managed to call police on the house phone and later told them she threw it under the bed so Riley couldn’t end the call. Police said Riley left the house, though he turned himself in at the Tinley Park police station on March 31 at 12:30 a.m.
