Police Blotter: Nail Salon Robbed; Family Cars Vandalized

THURSDAY, AUG. 11

Four Family Cars Vandalized

A woman contacted police regarding criminal damage to four vehicles parked in the driveway of her home. When police arrived at the home in the 7500 block of W. Nottingham Drive, the family reported that sometime between 11 p.m. Aug. 10 and 5:25 a.m. Aug. 11, all four of the family's vehicles were egged, covered in shaving cream and scratched on all sides. Neighbors said they didn't see anything suspicious during the night.

Tinley Man Charged with DUI 

Police charged Richard D. Rabold, 42, of the 16400 block of S. Leslie Anne Drive, for driving under the influence, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and having a blood alcohol content over .08. Rabold was pulled over in the 8200 block of 183rd St at 11:14 p.m.

Nearly Hitting a Cop Car Results in Tickets

Lucila Espita, 27, of 5200 block of W. 24th Pl. in Cicero, was ticketed for failure to yield and having no valid driver's license after nearly striking a police car near intersection of West Creek Drive and 183rd Street at 10:04 p.m., police said.

VIP Nail Spa Robbed 

Police received a report regarding vandalism to the VIP Nail Spa, 9051 W. 171st St., Apt. D., at 11 p.m. A witness reported that while he was walking into Frankies Ristorante, he noticed that the front door window of VIP Nail Spa was shattered. After arriving at the nail spa, the owner told police that there was $750 missing from the cash drawer. The witness said he had seen two white males in the parking lot and he gave their descriptions to police.
