Police Blotter: Thong Theft; Woman 'Eating Sandwich' Charged With Zero Tolerance

Bicycle Found

A woman living in the 16800 block of Riverside Drive in called police after she found a bicycle in her driveway. The purple and silver Magna boys BMX bike had black rear pegs and had not been reported stolen at the . She said she believed it was left sometime between Oct. 10 and Oct. 16.

SATURDAY, OCT. 15

Woman 'Eating Sandwich' Charged With Zero Tolerance

An officer pulled over a vehicle in the 6600 block of 167th Street in Tinley Park around 1:20 a.m., after he saw it swerving outside the lane. When stopped, Cassandra R. Paravich, 20, of the 1700 block of Odell Avenue in Tinley Park, told police she was driving erratically because she was "eating a sandwich," according to the report. She eventually admitted to having "two to three cups of beer," and was cited for violating the zero-tolerance ordinance. She was also charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane use.

THURSDAY, OCT. 13

Mercedes Benz Key Stolen

An employee at CarMax, 18800 S. Oak Park Ave., called police to report that between 12:25 a.m. and 12:45 a.m., someone stole a $20 lock box containing a $350 Mercedes Benz key. The thieves were caught on camera stealing the box, which was attached to the top of the driver's side front window of the 2008 ML350, according to the police report. They used a cutting tool to remove the box, police said.

Thong Theft

Meghan C. Malloy, 26, of the 17100 block of Overhill Avenue in Tinley Park, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. at Super Target, 7300 191st St. in Tinley Park. She was charged with retail theft, police said, after she stuffed several thongs, graphic T-shirts, a frame and more in her black purse. The 21 items had a total value of $199.41, according to the report. Her bail was set at $1,500.

MONDAY, SEPT. 26

Battery

Michael T. Beveridge, 24, of the 20100 block of Rosewood Drive in Frankfort, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. at the , 7850 W. 183rd St., and charged with battery. His bail was set at $1,500.
