Police Blotter: Rumble at the Amphitheatre; DUI

MONDAY, AUG. 8

Laptop Missing

A 26-year-old man, who parked his 2006 Acura in the 7900 block of 164th Street, said that between 4 p.m. Aug. 6 and 8:15 a.m. Aug. 7, someone stole a laptop out of the car.

Honda Vandalized

A 49-year-old woman who parked her 2001 Honda Accord in the 18100 block of 66th Court between 5:20 p.m. Aug. 5 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 8 said someone removed the Honda emblem from her vehicle's trunk. She also said she found a light scratch on the driver's side of the car from the front quarter panel to the back quarter panel.

Rumble at the Amphitheatre

Police were called to the bathroom area at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre around 11:40 p.m. after security staff told them a jealous man socked a guy who was talking to his lady friend. When they arrived at the theater,19100 Ridgeland Ave., they found a 25-year-old Plainfield man on the ground, being treated by paramedics. That man instigated a fight with a 22-year-old Bolingbrook man, who reportedly struck up a conversation with the Plainfield man's girlfriend while waiting in line for the bathroom, according to the police report. The Plainfield man punched the Bolingbrook man, who then hit him back, the report said. The Plainfield man "appeared intoxicated and was not cooperating with medical staff," the report said. The Plainfield man was asked for his side of the story four times, but he kept arguing, according to the report.

Disorderly Conduct

Kenneth R. Doyle Jr., 32, of the 1100 block of Weston Way in Joliet, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. in the 7800 block of West 183rd Street and charged with disorderly conduct.

SUNDAY, JULY 31

Driving Under the Influence

Leo D. Jackson, 30, of the 65300 block of Rhodes Street in Chicago, was arrested around 1:50 a.m. in the 18400 block of Harlem Avenue. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, illegal transpiration of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08. Police said he admitted to having "one or two beers," and blew a .169 on the breathalyzer.
