Police Blotter: Screaming Woman Found With Empty Wine Bottles; Man Runs During Traffic Stop

Screaming Woman Found With Empty Wine Bottles

Police were called to an apartment building in around 3 a.m., when residents said they heard a woman screaming and crying. They found where the screaming was coming from and said they couldn't understand what she was saying because of her thick, European accent. When she answered the door visibly upset, police said she told them she'd like to seek help because of the multiple issues she's going through. They said they saw several empty wine bottles throughout her apartment. She was taken to an area hospital.

Warrant Arrest

Francisco J. Escamilla, 20, of the 2700 block of North Mason Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 12:45 a.m. in Chicago on a driving on a suspended license warrant out of . His bail was set at $5,000.

Man Runs During Traffic Stop

When patrolling near the intersection of 159th Street and 80th Avenue in Tinley Park around 10:15 p.m., an officer saw the driver of a blue Chevrolet Impala swerving into other lanes of traffic. The driver then veered in front of the officer's squad car and abruptly turned without using a signal. The officer pulled him over near 160th Street and Blackwater Court. "The vehicle came to a stop on the north end of the cul-de-sac and the driver fled the vehicle on foot," the report said. The offender ran behind townhouse there and although the officer pursued him, he eventually lost sight of where he went. The car was towed.

Violating Weight Limit

Darrell E. Walton, 49, of the 600 block of South Central Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of 175th Street and Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park. He was charged with disobeying the 5-ton weight limit sign for his truck and driving on a suspended license. His bail was set at $1,500.

Threatening Texts

A Tinley Park resident turned to police this week after receiving several threatening text messages from her brother's ex-girlfriend. The ex was harassing the victim between 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. and said she'd come to her home if she didn't hand over furniture that the ex believed was hers. After the fifth message, the victim called the cops.
