Police Blotter: Smackdown at Odyssey Fun World; Woman Accused of Stealing Copper Pipes from Menard's

Smackdown at Odyssey Fun World
Police were called to Odyssey Fun World, 19111 Oak Park Ave., in , around 4:30 p.m., after a woman reportedly hit another woman in the arcade game area. Police said Jaynell D. Richardson, 22, of the 9700 block of South Avenue M in Chicago, smacked a 38-year-old woman in the face with the back of her hand. The two had an argument while playing arcade games, the report said. Richardson was arrested and charged with battery. Her bail was set at $1,500.
Violating an Order of Protection
Eric J. Jackson, 32, of the 100 block of East Chebanse Street in Chebanse, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. at the Kankakee County Sheriff's Office on a warrant out of the for violating an order of protection. His bail was set at $100,000.

Pot Possession
Steven A. Franks, 37, of the 4200 block of West Addison Street in Chicago, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, 19100 S. Ridgeland Dr. in Tinley Park. He was charged with possession of more than 2.5 grams and less than 10 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Punctures and Shattered Glass
A man living in the 8500 block of West Carriage Lane in Tinley Park woke up to discover that the side of his swimming pool had been pierced, his vehicle tires punctured and a window of his car busted out, police said. Around 1:30 a.m., the man's son woke him up to tell him that someone had thrown stones through his upper level bedroom window, shattering the panes, the report said. The man discovered the rest of the damage around 6 a.m., police said.
Retail Theft at Kohl's
arrested a 35-year-old out-of-towner around 3:55 p.m., they said, after she left a local retail store without paying for perfume, makeup and jewelry that she'd stuffed inside her purse. Vernita L. Craddock, of the 21300 block of Gray Hawk Drive in Matteson, was charged outside of Kohl’s, 7500 191st St., Tinley Park, with one count of retail theft. She was with her 14-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son when she took the items, the report said. The products' combined value is listed as $171.30. Craddock's bail was set at $1,500.
Woman Accused of Taking Copper Pipes from Menard's
Samantha M. Giles, 18, of the 8900 block of Beacon Court in Orland Hills, was arrested around 2:40 p.m. at Menard's, 6851 W. 159th St., Tinley Park. Police said she had stashed several pieces of copper tubing inside her "large purse" and left the store without paying the $265.66 they cost. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Warrant Arrest
Dwayne Howard, 44, of the 300 block of South Third Avenue in Maywood, was arrested around 6:15 p.m. at the , 7850 W. 183rd St., on a warrant for driving on a suspended license.
