Police Find Stabbed Mannequin in Andrew High School Pond

A school dean was faced last week with a peculiar figure submerged in his high school's retention pond.

When a dean got to Andrew High School last week, he saw a figure with a knife in its back floating in the school's pond.

He was alerted to the situation around 8:45 a.m. April 25 by a maintenance worker at the school, 9001 West 171st St., , according to a police report, and later deduced that was likely a prank.

" … He went out to the pond area and discovered a mannequin with a knife in the back floating in the pond," the report said. " … The maintenance employees recovered the mannequin and took it (inside)."

A name was scrawled on the mannequin's shirt, police said, along with the phrase "RJ and Danielle were here." School officials said they don't have a current student enrolled with the name written on the figure, nor have they ever.

Nothing else suspicious was found in the school, according to the report. The dean said the mannequin would be thrown away.
