Police Investigate Bullet Lodged in Bedroom Wall

A local family called the cops on Sunday after finding a mysterious bullet wedged in drywall behind a picture frame.

Police were called Sunday afternoon to a home on West 174th Street in , where a resident found a bullet lodged in a wall behind a picture frame.

A 23-year-old daughter living in a second-story bedroom of the home found the bullet behind a picture that she removed from the wall. She said she placed the frame there in March and at the time, there was no damage behind it, according to the report.

"The bullet, which was possibly a .45 caliber, appears to be in very good condition," an officer wrote, in the report, after investigating the incident around 1:30 p.m. "It may suggest it traveled a distance before striking the residence."
