Man Involved in Domestic Dispute in Custody: Village (Update)

Tinley Park police were searching the area of 167th Street and Sayre Avenue on Thursday morning for an individual who might have been carrying a knife, according to a village alert.

UPDATE (9:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29): Tinley Park police have apprehended the man connected in a domestic violence incident Thursday morning, according to a village alert sent just before 9:30 a.m.

Tinley Park police are searching for a man who might be armed with a knife who is connected in a domestic violence incident, according to a village alert sent Thursday morning. 

Police are searching the area of 167th Street and Sayre Avenue for the man, the CityWatch alert stated. Here is the description of the man:

  • White
  • Blond hair
  • 6 feet tall
  • 180 pounds 
  • Blue eyes

The individual was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and black sweatpants with white stripe, the alert stated.

Police urge residents to be cautious if they see the man because he could be carrying a knife. Residents should call 911 if they see him.
