arrested Dannell T. Smith, 26, of the 900 block of Est 152nd Street in Phoenix, Ill., around 3:15 p.m. at Super Target, 7300 191st St., . They said Smith stashed six printer cartridges under his coat and left the store without paying. They were priced at a total of $179.94, according to the report.
Thief Steals 20-year-old Lawn Mower
Thieves stole a 20-year-old lawn mower valued at less than $100 from a home in the 16900 block of Shannon Drive in . The resident said the mower disappeared between 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. while he took a break from cutting this grass and abandoned the machine near the sidewalk.

Couple Gets Midnight Visit From a Stranger
A couple living in the 6200 block of West 175th Street said a man entered their home around 12:30 a.m. while they were sleeping.

A woman awoke around that time to a noise at the front door, according to the report. Then, someone walked in through the sliding patio door.
"The subject then asked if John lived at the residence," the report said. "(A resident) told him that no one named John lives in the residence. The subject then left through the front patio sliding door."
Residents said the patio doors were unlocked at the time.
