McCain described the assailant as a black man wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black jeans. He said surveillance footage of the incident is likely available, though he hadn't reviewed it himself as of 1 p.m. He noted that sketch artists are working on compiling an illustration of the suspect, who ran southbound from the ATM and around the building.

"That's the last we saw of him," McCain said. "We presume he fled by getting into a car."

Why wasn't every Tinley citizen notified by phone about this? Being so close to I-80 is one reason criminals can come and go quickly. The world is changing for many suburbs but it still won't ever be as horiffic as the slaughter going on in Chicago!!!

Another perfect example why the state of Illinois needs to get off their butts and get with the times and allow concealed carry. We have the strictest gun laws and the crime rate here is beyond comprehension. It's time that Illinois stops being run by Chicago politicians. They all don't care they all have armed body guards

Can anyone tell me why the shooting and killing of the prettyWhite girl who was a standout volleyball player from Wheaton il' and St. Louis Unv, was not covered by the local and national media like the Trayvon Martin shooting in Florida, was it because a black is suspected in this senseless killing, well obama what do you have to say about it??? I see you have not made a comment on it like the Trayvon Martin case,I like to hear some comments on it.
John August 24, 2012 at 06:59 AM
Uh, probably because one case is a hate crime and the other is an armed robbery. I think Obama said that if he had a white daughter it would look like her.
