Police Use Taser on 'Belligerent' Man After Reported Teehan's Brew-Ha-Ha

Two men were arrested earlier this month after a 15-person bar fight on Oak Park Avenue, according to reports.

Police arrested two men earlier this month—and Tased one—who they said instigated a 15-person bar brawl outside an Oak Park Avenue pub.

Steven K. Hanley, 27, and Ryan T. Hanley, 29, both of the 10500 block of South Spaulding Avenue in Chicago, were arrested around 12:30 a.m. Jan. 11, when officers responded to Teehan's Pub for a fight. Police said about 15 people were outside the bar during the debacle, in which the Hanleys were reportedly fighting with the bar's bouncer and fellow bar patrons.

"I … observed (the victim) laying on the ground near the front entrance of the bar," an officer wrote in the report. "I observed blood on the ground near suspects Ryan and Steven and blood on Steven's face."

The victim was a bouncer at the bar, who had asked the men to leave because they were "highly intoxicated," according to the report. They were also fighting with one another, police said.

When police were trying to take Ryan Hanley into custody, he reportedly shoved and officer and wouldn't cooperate. It was at that time that the cops used a stun gun to get him under control, the report said.

" … Both Ryan and Steven were extremely agitated and would not stop screaming at the paramedics and officers," the report said.

Steven Hanley was charged with one count of battery. Ryan Hanley was charged with one count of assault and one count of resisting a peace officer. Bail for each was set at $1,500.
