Puking Passenger Draws Attention from the Cops

A 19-year-old Mokena driver received a marijuana possession citation from police after his car was stopped on Nov. 9.

Cops driving an unmarked squad on Harlem Avenue ticketed the driver of a Chevy Cavalier after spotting a passenger vomit through an open car door.

The driver, a 19-year-old Mokena man, was cited for possession of marijuana and possessing of drug paraphernalia after police stopped the Chevy at about 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 9, according to a Tinley Park police report.

Police became concerned after seeing a passenger twice stick his head out of the car and vomit onto the pavement, the report states.

After pulling the Chevy over, police noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from it, the report states. They also allegedly spotted the driver hide something near the floor boards as they approached the car.

When asked, the driver admitted to have a glass pipe and a small bag of marijuana in the car, the report states. A baggie of a substance found in the car tested positive for 1 gram of marijuana.

The sick passenger refused medical treatment.
