Repeat DUI Offender Sends Cops on Foot Chase
Police said a speeding driver hesitated to pull over, eventually running from them on foot. It turns out he wasn't even allowed to be driving at all, according to reports. Both he and his Tinley Park passenger had something to hide.
said a driver tried evading them—first in his car and later, on foot—earlier this month when they were pulling him over for speeding.
They later discovered he was a repeat DUI offender whose license had been revoked and that he had a heroin stash in his vehicle's center console, according to the report. His passenger was also up to no good, they said.
Officers first came across Bradley D. Thomas, 47, of Alsip, around 5:40 p.m. on April 14 when they clocked his 1996 Chevrolet cruising at 48 mph in a 35 mph zone near 97th Street and Pulaski Avenue in Evergreen Park, they said.

At first failing to acknowledge emergency lights, Thomas eventually stopped at an apartment complex on 103rd St. in Oak Lawn, police said. He reportedly then got out and fled on foot.
His passenger Peggy A. Keselica, 57, of , was detained in the vehicle where cops found a bag belonging to Thomas' that contained 1.1 grams of heroin, according to reports. They also found a 1.1-gram stash of the drug Keselica’s bra, they said.

Police soon learned that Thomas' license had been revoked after several DUI convictions. He was arrested in Oak Lawn. Keselica and Thomas were charged with one felony count each of possession of a controlled substance.
Thomas was additionally charged with aggravated driving with a revoked license, aggravated fleeing and eluding, speeding, disobeying a stop sign and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
