Court Watch: Sentencing Delayed for Animal Neglect Case

Also, a Cook County prosecutor has been put on paid administrative leave and is facing misdemeanor charges after allegedly biting a man during a drunken brawl.

ORLAND PARK -- Police: Two Women Admitted Theft from Sandburg High School

A theft case against three women accused of stealing $10,000 cash from Carl Sandburg High School will continue after a Cook County judge found probable cause during a preliminary hearing.

Police say Linda Nassar, 36, and Sally Quaraveh, 22, both of Worth, and Sabrina Yassin, 20, of Orland Park, stole the cash from the high school’s cashier’s office on Sept. 5. An officer testified during the recent hearing that Nassar and Yassin admitted the theft in written statements.

Man Charged in Fatal DUI Back in Court in November

Matthew Senica, the 25-year-old Orland Park man charged with several counts of aggravated DUI and one count of reckless homicide in connection to a crash that killed a 51-year-old nurse, is slated to be back in court on Nov. 1. He appeared in a Bridgeview courtroom for a recent hearing; earlier this month, he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Hearing for Man's Murder Case Delayed As Lawyer Deals With Family Emergency

The attorney for Allan Kustok, an Orland Park man accused of murder in the shooting death of his wife was absent from court due to a family emergency this week. The case has been continued until Oct. 5.


TINLEY PARK -- Sentencing Delayed for Painted Pastures Owner; Prosecutor in Case Faces Unrelated Charges of Her Own

Dawn Hamill, owner of Dazzle's Painted Pastures Rescue and Animal Sanctuary, will receive her sentence in her animal neglect case next week. Meanwhile, prosecutor Sarah Naughton is on leave after being charged in a brawl outside a lingerie shop Saturday. 

Ashford House Defendant Requests Jury Trial

One of five Indiana men charged with mob action, armed violence, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property after an alleged attack at a Tinley Park restaurant wants to move forward with a jury trial.

John Tucker, 26; Cody Sutherlin, 23; Dylan Sutherlin, 20; Alex Stuck, 22; and Jason Sutherlin, 33; were arrested in May. Police say the five men, three of whom are brothers, stormed the Ashford House in Tinley Park on May 19, their faces covered, ; the defendants reportedly believed the patrons were white supremacists.

Someone from the village saw my sign and has informed me that the village will be putting up speed limit signs and caution - kids playing signs this week. Good luck!!
