Six New Officers Join the Tinley Park Police Force

You will be seeing some new faces on the streets of Tinley. Six cops were sworn in this week.

Six new police officers joined the local force Tuesday — the first day for new Police Chief Steve Neubauer.

The men bring the total number of officers to 61. They were sworn in before the village board, reports Triblocal.

The new faces on the force are Fred Mondt, Sean Gawron, Roger Davisson, Jonathan Mittelman, Peterson Jennings and Nicholas Vlachos, according to the story.

Reserve officer Martin Figliulo was also appointed Tuesday as a community service officer for parking enforcement, reports Triblocal.

Trustees unanimously approved a motion last month to hire Neubauer, who spent the last eight years at the helm of the Elmhurst Police Department.

He replaces , who . He had been head of the department since 1995.
