The son of a woman killed in a Dec. 2 crash in Tinley Park is suing the allegedly drunken driver of the car that struck hers, Sun-Times Media reports.
Kevin Santiago, 33, of Orland Hills, was charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI following the crash that killed 50-year-old Lubna Firadusi, of Tinley Park.
Santiago, of the 8800 block of West 170th Street in Orland Hills, also was charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without insurance and disobeying a traffic control device, according to police.

Santiago was involved in a two-vehicle crash at around 2 a.m. Dec. 2, at the intersection of 183rd Street and 80th Avenue. Firdausi, the driver of the other vehicle, was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead later that morning.
In the suit, Firadusi's son Sham states that his mother had the green light when she drove a 2003 Chrysler Sebring eastbound into the intersection that night, according to the Sun-Times report.
The suit also alleges that Santiago ran a red light while headed southbound, and collided with Firadusi's car.
