Car Stolen; Bike Disappears from Metra Station: Blotter

Missing Oldsmobile

The general manager of Bettenhausen Fiat of Tinley, 17514 S. Oak Park Ave., told police that a 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera purchased by the dealership was missing from their stock. It disappeared sometime between midnight July 31 and midnight Oct. 30. Police put the VIN number of the car into the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System.

Stolen Bicycle

A 31-year-old Tinley Park man told police that his wife's green Schwinn 21 speed mountain bike was stolen stolen sometime between 7 p.m. Oct. 29 and 5:45 a.m. Oct. 30. The bike was locked to the far east bike rack on the north side of the Metra station, 18001 S. 80th Ave. A cable used to secure the bike was cut. The man did not wish to press charges.
