Thief Busts Into Rita Road Apartment for Tiffany Jewelry and Cash Stash
Police are looking for a burglar who made off with a bunch of cash, and more, from a local home.
A burglar used a pry bar Wednesday to get into a Rita Road apartment where about $1,600 cash, jewelry and electronics were reported missing.
A resident of the apartment called the cops around 7:30 p.m., when he noticed pry marks on the door when he was unlocking it. He immediately closed it and called , according to the report.
During a walk through with officers, the resident reported an iPod touch and $700 cash missing from the top drawer of his nightstand. An additional $600 was missing from the residence, along with an estimated $300 in change that was in a coin container. A Tiffany necklace and 17-inch Toshiba laptop were also stolen.

The victim said he believed someone broke in between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Evidence technicians were called to the scene and the burglary remained under investigation Friday.
