I Didn't Open That Account

A victim came to the Tinley Park Police Department to report an incident of credit card fraud.

The man told police he received a bill for $75 from a bank in Delaware. The victim said he had never filed to open a card at the bank.

Police spoke with bank officials, who said that somebody must have used the victim's personal information to open the account. The man canceled the card and the bank is currently investigating the matter.

Wii Thieves

Police were called to Best Buy, 7330 W. 191st Street, for a report of grand theft at the store.

An employee told police he saw three black males walking through the store, carrying Wii game systems. The employee said he witnessed the three subjects walk towards the exit of the store, at which time the witness asked if the suspects needed help.

When the witness asked if the suspects needed help, the suspects ran from the store, carrying the three Wii systems.

The suspects entered a four-door Dodge Neon before driving off. The witness was able to give police a full license plate number on the vehicle.

The witness said the total value of items stolen was $1,050.
