A Tinley Park man was accused last week of harboring heroin, cocaine and hypodermic needles in a Tinley Park condominium, according to Tinley Park police, more than a month after he overdosed and was revived by paramedics.

Anthony J. Rizza, 34, of the 7700 block of Bristol Park in Tinley Park, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia on March 15.

Police said paramedics had to revive Rizza from a heroin and cocaine overdose in his condo on the night of Feb. 9 after a friend called police. Rizza was found on his kitchen floor with a needle in his arm, according to police reports.

Rizza's friend, Richard A. Janis, 23, of the 13600 block of 92nd Street in Orland Park, was arrested that evening on a drug-related warrant and appeared in court the following morning, police said. Janis told police he washed the rest of Rizza’s heroin down the drain before paramedics arrived, according to police reports.

On Feb. 9, Rizza told police Janis drove him to 159th Street and Cicero Avenue earlier that night where he bought $50 worth of heroin off a man named “Angel," according to police reports.
