Tinley Park Man Accused of Selling Ecstasy to Undercover Cops

Two men—one from Tinley, the other from Orland Hills—were charged Tuesday with selling drugs in a Jewel-Osco parking lot in Lockport, according to police.

A Tinley Park man faces felony drug charges after he and an Orland Hills man allegedly sold ecstasy to undercover cops in Lockport, police said.

Robert M. Ryband, 20, of the 7200 block of West 174th Street, Tinley Park, and Jesus Miranda, 21, of the 7000 block of Hickory Court, Orland Hills, are charged with delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of ecstasy, a Class X felony.

The two men were arrested the night of Tuesday, April 23, outside the Lockport Jewel-Osco on 159th Street, after they allegedly sold the drug to undercover narcotics agents, said John Arizzi, deputy director of the Joliet Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad.

In the past, Ryband and Miranda sold cocaine and ecstasy to officers, Arizzi said. Authorities said they think the two were large suppliers to the Lockport area.
