Tinley Park Man Arrested in Penn. for Threatening to Kill Ex-Wife: Report

Jason Sargent, 39, was taken in to custody by state police after getting into a fight with his ex-wife's boyfriend, then stealing a car to go to the airport, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

A Tinley Park man threatened to kill his ex-wife and her boyfriend and stole her car was arrested Sunday by state police in Pennsylvania, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report.

Jason Scott Sargent, 39, was charged Sunday, May 19, with robbery of a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking, terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct, the Post-Gazette reported, citing a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

Sargent threatened to kill his ex, Rachel Sargent, while she was driving him to the airport around 6 a.m. after he had traveled to Pennsylvania to visit their son, the report stated. Rachel Sargent then pulled the car over, and a fight ensued between Jason Sargent and Thomas Yuratovich, Rachel's boyfriend, who had been following the two in another vehicle, the report continued. Sargent threatened to kill Yuratovich, too, according to the report.

After the fight, Jason Sargent stole Yuratovich's car and continued to the airport, the Post-Gazette reported. Once there, Sargent called his ex-wife twice, and during the second call, he told her that he had passed security and couldn't be caught. But police apprehended Sargent in the terminal before his flight took off, the report stated.
