Wedding Rumble: Man Socks Woman in Face, Police Say
An argument erupted after unwanted chitchat during wedding speeches at a recent reception in Tinley Park, according to reports.
Police said a woman at a local wedding reception was bleeding after a man reportedly punched her in the face just after speeches to the bride and groom.
The victim, a 36-year-old from Matteson, said that during the reception speeches at a Tinley Park venue on Sept. 1, she and her sister were having a conversation. That's when Randell Beamon III, 36, also of Matteson, reportedly approached her and asked that she be quiet.

"About five minutes later, (Beamon) returned to her table and said, 'I asked you once politely and I won't ask you again. Will you please shut the f--- up?'" the report said. "About 10 minutes later after the speeches … were finished, she approached Beamon and said, 'You don't have to talk to me like that. I am a grown woman.'"
At that time, Beamon punched the woman in the face, police said. The woman then threw a glass at him. Police said that when they arrived, a scratch on the woman's face was bleeding. She signed complaints against Beamon and he was charged with battery.
