Woman Files Fake Burglary Report, Living Room Egged, and More

Also in the latest police reports which stem from July 26, 28 and 30, a woman is punched in the face at the Wiz Khalifa concert and a man is arrested on a warrant.

MONDAY, JULY 30

Woman Files Fake Burglary Report

Police said a woman whose home is in foreclosure called them to report that her appliances had been stolen, only later to admit that she was lying.

The woman, who was in the process of leaving her home in the 7500 block of 162nd Place in , told police that between the 28th and 30th, someone stole her microwave, refrigerator and oven. An officer caught her in her lie and said that when he did, she stood silently, looking at the floor.

"(An officer) pressed (the woman) until she admitted the family sold the refrigerator, microwave and oven to an undisclosed person in December 2011," the report said. "(She) stated her daughter and son-in-law received the money for the appliances and were supposed to give it to (her) but never did."

Socked in the Face, Wallet Stolen

An 18-year-old woman reported to police that during the Wiz Khalifa concert on July 27, a man punched her in the face and stole her wallet. The woman said that a fight broke out around 10 p.m. in the section she was in at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on Ridgeland Avenue in Tinley Park and she somehow wound up in it.

"(She) stated that an unknown male white subject struck her in the right eye with his fist," the report said. "The unknown male white subject then forcibly removed a small wallet that was attached to her wrist. (The victim) observed the … man leave the area carrying her wallet."

The wallet contained $37 cash, a pack of cigarettes and the woman's car and house keys and a bottle of Juicy Couture perfume, the report said. She told police she didn't wish to sign complaints if the offender is found. 

THURSDAY, JULY 26

Living Room Egging

A family returned from vacation to find the inside of their home in the 6300 block of West Scott Court in Tinley Park egged, police said. The family was gone between July 23 and 26 and returned around 9:10 p.m. to find eggs thrown about the living room, including on the flat screen TV and walls.

Residents told police there was no forced entry to the home and all the doors were locked. A father said his daughter's friends may have the garage code but the daughter said she didn't believe any of her friends would throw eggs inside the home. 

Will County Warrant

Enrique J. Camarillo, 44, of the 100 block of Sedgewick Drive in Romeoville, was arrested around 8:55 p.m. at the Tinley Park Police Department, 7850 W. 183rd St., on a warrant out of Will County. His bail was set at $5,000.
