80th Avenue Train Station Platform Work Starts May 31

Reconstruction of the 80th Avenue train station platforms will cause some changes in access to those areas beginning Tuesday, May 31, but the work will not change how commuters board and exit trains.

Both platforms will remain in service at all times. Trains will continue to operate on their normal schedules and track assignments.

The eastern portions of the platforms near the site of the future station will be closed. To better accommodate commuters, the south platform has been temporarily extended 200 feet to the west.

The east at-grade pedestrian crossing over the tracks will also be closed. Commuters who need to cross the tracks must use the at-grade crossing west of the existing station. Remember that it is illegal to cross the tracks when warning signals indicate that a train is approaching.
