Emergency preparedness seminar

September is National Emergency Preparedness Month, and the Tinley Park Emergency Management Agency together with the Citizens Corps Council is inviting the public to a seminar focusing on how the village prepares for disasters and what residents can do to help.

This important seminar will be held from 5:30-8:30pm on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Central Middle School, 181st Street and Oak Park Avenue.

Participants will include the Emergency Management Agency, the fire and police Departments, the Tinley Park Medical Reserve Corps and the Community Emergency Response Team.

The seminar will feature informational lectures and booths from each department and other outside agencies. An emergency vehicle showcase will also be included at this free event.
