Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Lewis Park

The Tinley Park-Park District will host a ribbon cutting ceremony, to celebrate the completion of park renovations at Lewis Park. Park District and Village officials will be in attendance. Lewis Park, comprising more then 6 acres of land, features the only lighted street hockey in the village. In addition to street hockey, the park offers two tennis courts, and two basketball courts (1/2 courts). Lighted ice skating will continue at Lewis Park this winter. Along with new courts, Lewis Park features a new state-of-the-art playground, modern picnic shelter, walking path and new dugouts at the ball field. Following the dedication, refreshments will be served until 7:00pm. The public is invited to attend.
