Vital Southland Growth Issues Top Chamber Program

Four projects vital to the commercial and industrial growth of the Chicago Southland will be the focal points of a March program in Tinley Park.

The Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce presents a panel of experts that will provide updates on the current status and future outlook of Harlem Avenue development, the Third Airport, the planned interchange connecting Interstates 57 and 80 and the proposed Illiana Expressway linking I-65 with I-80.

Each project, essential to the Southland’s regional expansion and security in a 21st century environment, comprises an element of the “Go to 2040 Plan” developed under the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning.

A three-person panel with Randy Blankenhorn, CMAP executive director, Will County Executive Lawrence Walsh and Richton Park Mayor and CMAP Board member Rick Reinbold together will keynote the chamber’s March 14 Regional Consensus Luncheon program.

With its four-fold list of major development issues, the chamber program should attract a substantial audience of members and guests.
