Make Your Vote Count Today in Tinley Park, Then Follow Results Live on Patch

Tired of political mud-slinging commercials getting in the way of your favorite TV show? You'll get a reprieve after today.

Residents will soon get a break from cold calls made by teams of political supporters, town forums and candidates' letters clogging up their mailboxes, asking for a vote. So do your part today to bubble in the circles for your favorite candidates on the ballot.

Election judges will rise early to staff the polls at churches, VFW halls and local schools for the 2010 midterm election. Tinley Park polling places, as well as those throughout Illinois, are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. And Patch will be there all along the way, keeping you in the know until all the results are in—and even after that.

As far as the state's concerned, Tinley residents will be casting votes for the  and three State House races—the ,  and .

Finding Your Polling Place

If you don't know where to vote, check your voter's registration card to find out in which precinct you live. You also can plug in your address at eVoter Illinois to determine the polling place where you will be voting as well as view a sample ballot customized to your area and address. Users can print the sample ballot and take it with them to their polling place.

The  also has links to polling places on its website. If all else fails, you can always call the local clerk's office at 708-444-5000 for help. Staff there can look up your address and tell you where to go to vote in town.

Where to Report Voter Fraud

Both the Cook County Clerk and Will County Clerk offices will be fielding calls from voters until the polls close Tuesday. The offices provide the following phone numbers:

• The Cook County Clerk's office has voter hotlines in four languages, as well as a TDD line for the hearing impaired and a legal line to report fraud and irregularities (312-603-0236). Then call Patch at 630-589-7668 and tell us about it.
