Officials: Residents Must Stop Morning Sprinkling

Village of Tinley Park officials are enacting strict water conservation measures beginning Friday that will help them maintain adequate water reserves during a time of little rain.

Despite the brief rain Thursday night, officials are imposing strict watering regulations beginning Friday.

"Due to continuing drought conditions and to maintain a safe water supply for fire protection and public safety purposes, the along with our neighboring communities of Oak Lawn, New Lenox, Mokena, Orland Park and Oak Forest are implementing more restrictive water conservation measures," stated an alert sent to residents Thursday evening.
