Village Meetings: Who's Gathering This Week (June 17-21)

Patch tells you what boards, commissions and other panels are holding public meetings. This week, the Village Board will discuss Tuesday a resolution concerning remodeling being done by Rizza Buick GMC Cadillac and other issues.

Each week, Patch will list the various Village of Tinley Park commissions, committees and other governmental bodies that are meeting over the next five days. These listings will note the top items on the agenda, as well.

Meetings are held at the Village Hall unless otherwise noted. Under the state's Open Meetings Act, notice of public meetings and their agendas must be posted at least 48 hours in advance. Agendas and minutes from past meetings can be found at the village website.

TUESDAY, JUNE 18

  • Public Works Commission, 7 p.m., Vogt Conference Room: The agenda includes discussion about the village's water meter contract, an agreement with Sierra Club to reduce fossil fuel use in the village and a review of bids on a variety of projects.   • Village Board, 8 p.m.: The agenda includes the first reading of resolutions approving renovations by Rizza Buick GMC Cadillac, the sale of village surplus items and amending the job description for the village code enforcement officer. The board also will vote on demolishing the property at 17804 S. 67th Court. Go to the village's website for a complete agenda.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19
Main Street Commission, 6:15 p.m., Kallsen Conference Room: The agenda includes an updates of Downtown Tinley goals and objectives for the fiscal year, the Cook County Class 8 Amendment and the Benches on the Avenue and Block Party. Go to the village's website for a complete agenda.
