Village Relaxes Local Watering Regulations

Sprinkle sprinkle, Tinley. Sprinkle sprinkle.

Starting today, Tinley Park residents can sprinkle lawns and flower baskets as much as their hearts desire.

You read it right — water conservations regulations limiting local outdoor water use have been lifted. A break in the hot weather combined with adequate water supply has "prompted village officials to relax the more restrictive measures" that have been in effect," said news release sent Tuesday by the Village of Tinley Park.

The regular summer watering schedule allows outdoor water use from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on odd or even days, depending on the last digit of a resident's address.
