Dillard grabs two more endorsements, Brady with one

As the primary approaches, we've got a roundup of the election news from around the state.

We're down to eight days until the March 18 primary and while businessman Bruce Rauner is still ahead in the polls, the race is still too close to call, according to Crain's Chicago Business political columnist Greg Hinz. That's because a lot can still happen in the next week, and state Sen. Kirk Dillard, currently second in the polls, is gaining momentum.

Dillard just picked up two endorsements from downstate newspapers, the State Journal-Register in Springfield and the Peoria Journal-Star. Another candidate in the race, state Sen. Bill Brady, picked up the endorsement of the Rockford Register-Star.

These endorsements come on the heels of Bruce Rauner getting the support of the Chicago Tribune last week.
