Half of Illinois Wants to Leave, But There Are Reasons to Stay

If half of Illinoisans want to leave the state, does the state have any redeeming qualities that might help make the residents stay?

A Gallup poll last week showed 50 percent of Illinoisans would like to leave the state. When such a large segment of a state's population shares that sentiment, what does it say about the state? 

Nothing good, let's put it that way.

But a contributor to Forbes, himself a resident of Illinois, believes Illinois has some redeeming quality-of-life factors that residents can't get elsewhere. Would you agree?
