Traveling for the Fourth of July? Take a Look at Gas Prices Across Illinois

How will the price of gas affect your Fourth of July plans?

The good thing about Independence Day this year is that it falls on a Friday, which means a long weekend. But, there's a catch. It will be the most expensive 4th of July holiday for drivers since 2008.

You've probably noticed the cost of gas lately as well as the dent it's doing to your finances.

If you have any long-distance travel plans, check out this gas price heat map that shows Illinois counties paying the most and least for regular. Also, see how the average cost of gas compares to our neighboring states, along with reasons for abnormally high prices and predictions for the coming months.
