Andrew HS Musicians Tour Europe at Illinois Ambassadors of Music

Students must be nominated, and staff is chosen from a large pool of qualified candidates.

Seven Andrew High School students were chosen to be members of the Illinois Ambassadors of Music as well as their Music Director Mark Iwinski.

The musicians will return later this week from a 16-day European Tour where the students and staff represented the state of Illinois through Music, Leadership and Learning. Stops on the tour include England, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy and Germany.

Andrew students represent one of the largest groups chosen and Iwinski is one of only 20 teachers selected. The tour is organized by Voyageurs International Ltd, a private company. Staff is handpicked from among past and present educators, including the directors of leading colleges and universities across the country, and students must be nominated by their music directors to participate.
