D146 Students Honor Memory of Classmate Bailee Zaker
Bailee died suddenly in October 2013. Students at Fierke Education Center recently wore purple in honor of her eighth birthday.
Students in Liz Grigas’ second-grade class at Fierke Education Center wore purple and cowboy or cowgirl boots, in memory of their friend Bailee Zaker on what would have been her eighth birthday.
The blue-eyed, blonde-haired, bubbly 7-year-old died in October. She loved her cowgirl boots.
“She is still a part of our classroom family and we wanted to do something special for her birthday to remember her,” Grigas said.
