Female sports injuries will be explored on Sept. 28 at Lewis University's Oak Brook campus

As part of its continuing education offerings, Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions is presenting "Female Sports Injuries" at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Lewis University's Oak Brook campus. This event is free of charge and open to the public.

Dr. Sara Edwards, Orthopedic Surgeon at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, will provide information on common sports injuries in the female population. She will discuss sports injuries that are more common in females, injury patterns and theories about why the difference occurs and will also explain current prevention strategies.

Co-sponsored by the Epsilon Upsilon Chapter of STTI and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the event is also being presented as a part of Lewis University's Arts & Ideas Program, providing cultural and educational programming for students and the community.
