Metra Invites the Public to Vote for the Winner of its Safety Poster Contest “People’s Choice Award”

Metra invites the public to cast their vote to help select the winner of its annual Safety Poster Contest "People's Choice Award." Ten K-12 finalists from the 2010-2011 contest, "Safety First: Look, Listen and Live" will be displayed at one of Chicago's downtown stations from June 13-17 for the public to view and vote for their favorite entry. Votes will be tallied and a "People's Choice Award" winner will receive a $250 Cash Card. A full schedule for the Metra Safety Contest Traveling Display is listed below:

Monday, June 13, 2011 (10 am-3 pm): Van Buren Street Station – 132 E. Van Buren Street, Chicago

Tuesday, June 14, 2011 (10 am-3 pm): LaSalle Street Station – 414 S. LaSalle Street, Chicago

Metra would like to thank all participants for their talented submissions to the 2010-2011 Metra Safety Poster and Safety Essay Contests. Winning entries will be selected by a panel of judges and contest winners will be notified this summer and awarded the following prizes:

Metra Safety Poster Contest:
One first, second and third place winner from grades K-12 will receive:

First Place: Laptop Computer

Second Place: $250 Cash Card

Third Place: $100 Cash Card

Metra Safety Essay Contest:
One first place winner from elementary school, middle school and high school will receive:

First Place: Laptop Computer
