Southland Chamber Event to Spotlight Media, News in the 21st Century

In the last decade, the worlds of marketing and public relations as well as the entire news industry have changed in ways no one could have anticipated at the turn of this century.           

We now communicate and access information at the speed of light. To remain viable, the media and news industries must keep up with all the changes, a daunting task.           

The Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce puts the spotlight on “Media and News … the Challenges and Successes” at the 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sept. 12 Regional Consensus Luncheon.

Three expert panelists will address this multifaceted and fascinating topic. Brian Brennan, marketing and media director, 22nd Century Media; Dave Pajeau, regional director of advanced media, Comcast Spotlight; and Matthew Saleski, vice president, Sun-Times Media, will provide insider views on where the media and news industries focus their energy in this rapidly changing electronic world.           

The luncheon will take place at the Holiday Inn-Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 S. Convention Center Drive, and the event is open to the public.

The cost is $30 for chamber members, $40 for non-member.
