Football: Andrew Takes Care of Business Against L-W North
Andrew 36, Lincoln-Way North 14: QB Tyler Hook throws four TD passes as the T-Bolts stay in the hunt for a conference championship.
Breaking It Down: Things couldn’t have gone much better for to start Friday night’s game. The Thunderbolts recovered a fumble on the second play from scrimmage, and quarterback Tyler Hook marched the offense down the field and hit Joe Sanfilippo for a 7-yard touchdown.
On the ensuing L-W North possession, Andrew linebacker Patrick Elget stripped-sacked the quarterback and ran 63 yards, setting up a Jarvis Franklin 1-yard touchdown run and a 13-0 lead.
The Phoenix answered back with a 3-yard touchdown run by Tre Lewis. But Andrew ran off the next 16 consecutive points, thanks largely to an efficient night from Hook, and the T-Bolts took a 29-7 halftime lead to essentially put the game out of reach for the struggling Phoenix offense. The teams traded touchdown passes in the second half to finish at a 36-14 Andrew win.
