Schools

Save on Back-to-School Shopping

August is here—are your kids set for school?

It seems to happen the same way every year, we wait until the last minute and then all of a sudden it's August and we're at our local 24 hour grocery store at 2 a.m., fumbling around the aisles looking for glue sticks and trying to figure out which is the college ruled paper.

But not this year!
This year, you and I are going to hunt the sales and be ahead of the game with these surprising places to find great deals on school supplies!

Just going to Walgreen's to get your medicine? Then you are missing out on some great back-to-school deals. With their in-store ad coupons, their monthly booklet coupons and their great sales, you can get some fantastic frugal freebies for your kids!

Office Depot
Office stores can be so expensive, it probably isn't the first place you'd think to stop. However, they can also offer some of the best discounts!! For example, this week with a $15 purchase, which you can EASILY spend on their 5 and 10 cent deals this week, and you can get a FREE Backpack AND lunch tote!

Target
You probably know that Target carries school supplies, but did you know that they have coupons on their website, often for school supplies? In the last few weeks there have been free pens, free jeans, free batteries, and more, just for printing out Target's coupons and matching them to the back-to-school sales!

CVS is a money saver's best friend! They have so many items each week you can purchase that are completely free, when you get the Extra Care Bucks in return! Between the big red "magic coupon machine" in the front of the store, the Extra Care Bucks, and their great sales? CVS is a great way to save some serious cash for school!

Grocery Stores like
Grocery stores, like Jewel and Food 4 less, will surprise you with great deals on school supplies—that is—until it's right before back-to-school time when the prices increase again! And if you're thinking, "I'm only looking for a few things" or "my family doesn't need school supplies," then why not use your frugal finds for donation?

SPEAKING OF DONATION....

SSFS is in need of Back-to-School Angels. Who says you have to spend a ton of money to give back?
